Be careful – will break any PC using encryption software. Dreadful. This product has proved to be a complete nightmare. It has a serious defect in that it is incompatible with most encryption programmes and will break your PC. If you use such software then do not buy this product – I purchased 10 licences and installed on various peoples machines (I am referring to Windows PC’s here). One by one they stopped working producing the dreaded bluescreen of death. After hours of research I realised it was down to this product. Nortons recognise the problem and are promising to fix it but it has been 2 months now and still no sign of a fix. In the meantime I spent 2 days of my life trying to resolve this problem – research, then removing it from all machines. One PC just wouldn’t remain stable enough to even remove the product, even in Safe Mode, and had to be completely reformatted with hours on phone to reinstall other software too. Then had to get another product to replace this and install that. Do not buy – if they cannot issue a fix after 2 months…

The reason being is that many customers have multiple devices that need various different offerings for protection – and this product does that. Indeed, I myself have 7 devices that needed protection – hence why this product is ideal. There are three variants of this product (1 device, 5 devices and 10 devices), depending on how many devices you wish to protect, and if you need cloud backup. Even more disappointing is that when I read further about the changes, albeit ordinarily upgrades from Symantec are given free of charge, as this was a “brand new” offering, no such upgrade existed! Users would have to…
